First Benchmark XT Immunohistochemistry System Installed
Last month the first Ventana Benchmark XT Immunohistochemistry (IHC) analyser to be installed in New Zealand went into the Anatomical Pathology Department of Canterbury Health Laboratories, Christchurch Hospital, and is now in routine operation. Ventana was recently acquired by Roche to form Roche Tissue Diagnostics (RTD).
The Benchmark XT fully automates the processing of any or all of IHC, ISH, SISH, FISH and FITC slides independently or simultaneously. Baking, deparaffinization (solvent free) and cell conditioning can all be automated. Dual staining with two antibodies and two detection chemistries can easily be performed and laboratories can use their own concentrated antibodies or choose from more than 260 Ventana pre-dilutes.
Canterbury Health is the first of many RTD Ventana installations scheduled for this year.
